Miranda Warnings For Terrorists?

I had predicted this months ago, and people made fun of me.

No one is laughing now.

The Obama Administration had decreed that all prisoners, wherever in the world, are to be given Miranda rights (i.e the right to be silent).  When I suggested this, people said I was making extremist comments.  Clearly, I and other conservatives were right.  This among the most absurd and dangerous things the Obama Administration has done.

Why is it dangerous?  First, our soldiers should not be worrying about legal rights.  There job is to kill or defeat the enemy, not act as policemen.  Second, telling terrorists that they have the right to keep silent is a blessing from God for them…that is all they want.  Liberals keep arguing what’s the big deal.  The big deal is that even Obama intelligence officials, including Dennis Blair, has said that terrorists such as Khalid Sheikh Mohammed gave up valuable information that saved lives.  Of course, that was through waterboarding; but still, the information was there.  By maintaining his silence, legally, how many lives would have been lost because of the knowledge in KSM’s head, which was unobtainable?

The is ridiculous, unintellectual liberal idiocy.

But it gets even better.  The Justice Department has brought Ahmad Ghilani, a prisoner at Gitmo, to New York to face trial here on charges that he was involved in the bombing of the embassies in Africa in 1998.  Well, Jake Tapper of ABC News and Major Garrett of Fox News asked a basic, almost ridiculous question:  What happens if Ghilani is found innocent/not guilty?

The White House?

Um….welll…from the glorious Robert Gibbs, just listen:

“I’m not going to get into hypotheticals about how certain cases may or may not play out,” Gibbs said.

In other words, they don’t have a clue.  Credit to liberal Jake Tapper, because let us understand something:  Finding these guys guilty is the easy part.  But if they are found not guilty, that is when the proverbial ‘stuff’ hits the fan.  Do you release them?  Do you release them in the United States if no other country will take them?  Or do you reimprison them, without charge?  These are the intellectual debates that the Bush Administration had internally, but apparently the Obama White House isn’t smart enough to be the reflective.

This is liberal idiocy at its finest.
