The hatred and attempted suppression of free expression is reaching levels that I have never seen in my lifetime.
The left, who is now in charge of the White House, Congress, and has always been running the mainstream media, has tried to take tragedy after tragedy, and politicize it. It started with the Kansas abortion doctor Dr. Tiller’s murder. It culminated yesterday with the murder of a guard, Stephen Johns, at the Holocaust museum in Washington D.C. by an insane, antisemitic neo-Nazi. Johns is clearly a hero, and his murder should be considered as such.
And somehow, the political right is to blame for these things.
First of all, let us be clear: those murders were by wacko, lone wolf characters. If you want an entire political belief system to be responsible for the insane actions of lone individuals, you are living in a dream world. Second, some how the attack and murder of army recruiters in Arkansas did not achieve that kind of attention, because the media didn’t make that linkage to the extreme left that calls our soldiers ‘baby-killers’. But you want to use the same logic, the linkage can be made.
Then we have the lead hypocrite, President Barack Obama. After the murder at the Holocaust museum, Mr. Obama called for more vigilance against prejudice.
“This outrageous act reminds us that we must remain vigilant against anti-Semitism and prejudice in all its forms,” Obama said Wednesday. “No American institution is more important to this effort than the Holocaust museum, and no act of violence will diminish our determination to honor those who were lost by building a more peaceful and tolerant world.”
Really? Are you kidding?
This happened on the same day that Mr. Obama’s long time friend and preacher, Jeremiah Wright, came out and said that he could not voice his opinions to his friend the President, because ‘Jews’ are preventing him from talking to him.
Them Jews ain’t going to let him talk to me …. He’s got to do what politicians do. And the Jewish vote, the AIPAC vote that’s controlling him, that will not let him send representation to the Darfur Review Conference, that’s talking this craziness on Israel because they’re Zionists, they will not let him talk to somebody who calls a spade what it is. Ethnic cleansing is going on in Gaza—the ethnic cleansing of the Zionists is a sin and a crime against humanity.
Um, Mr. President…where is your vigilance against this prejudice? I guess it is the same place it was in the 20 years you spent in Mr. Wright’s church…conveniently hidden.
The media has been absolutely abhorrent on these issues, led by the pseudo-network MSNBC. I really believe that MSNBC is left of the Huffington Post...at least Huffington is honest about its position, but MSNBC still pretends to be somewhat objective. Who are they kidding?
There is as much hate in the mainstream media as there is anywhere else. For the past 8 years, the media was perfectly happy calling for evil things to happen to the Bush Administration. People even wished for several of their deaths. But that is not hateful, not at all. Even now, we see the left attacking family members of conservatives (ala Palin’s daughters). Do you think that a sex joke would have been acceptable against Chelsea Clinton in the nineties? How about a joke about the Obama kids? This is frankly disgusting. Public figures are fair game…families should always be off limits. But the left is fine with that, as long as it is a right wing politican’s family that is being attacked.
What scares me most about all this is not that they are saying these things…let them say whatever they want. What scares me is their attempts to limit my free speech. Their hate is acceptable…ours is not. Frankly, I think speech has become too extreme on both sides. There will always be extreme wackos like the prolifer murderer and the antisemtic killer. The fact that the neonazi hated Republicans and conservatives (including reports that the neocon magazine The Weeekly Standard was on his hit lists)is not even the point; the comparison should never have gotten that far. Not to mention, some are reporting that he may be a registered Democrat; but I digress. But as leaders, and people who are responsible and want what is best for our country, we should do better. When supposed mainstream people like Paul Krugman blame Fox News for incidents like this, when they were in fact targets, it speaks to lack of intellectualism…these people are pure hacks, and should be ignored.
What is now acceptable on mainstream challenges is abhorrent. And frankly, I will throw the President and his cohorts into the mix. Mr. Obama can talk about talking down prejudice…yet he is failing on that same call for vigilance.

Fascism can politically placed on the left or the right, as can Nazis. Classically, they were socialists, but they had conservative backers to be sure. It is simplistic to say that they are clearly right or left wing. Mussolini, who you bring up, also said fascists can be “aristocrats or democrats, revolutionaries and reactionaries, proletarians and anti-proletarians, pacifists and anti-pacifists”. Again, if you can define him on that, good luck.
As for the most recent neoNazi, people among his hit lists included both Bush Presidents, Neoconservatives, and the conservative Weekly Standard magazine. Not exactly what you would call a big Republican supporter.

Everyone is playing games, politically, financially, spiritually. That some feel put upon and blame others is no surprise. Now we will again hear about how we must limit free speech, control all firearms, etc. Everytime a nut acts out his insanity, we all pay a price with loss of our freedom and an increase in general paranoia. But if this man and those like him were even a bit honest, their theories about that old alleged Jewish world conspiracy would have to dry up in the clear light of historical and statistical fact. Everyone even the least scholarly knows about the well proven fraud of the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion. However, if Jews, who are so few – and growing fewer – compared to the world’s populations – could really control the world, perhaps we ought to let them. Jay Dee’s comments prove only one point: That this country is and will continue to become more divided with each passing day. Why is it that I, and well my children for that matter must pay for the past indiscretions of others? I had nothing to do with slavery or any pre civil rights movement behaviors. My children most definitely had nothing to do with these past indiscretions, yet somehow individuals like Jay Dee deem it necessary to punish myself, children and others who participated in no way, shape or form in the discrimination of others.
But let us look at it from this perspective Jay Dee: My father was a Native American Indian (killed on the job when I was 9) and my mother is German and Irish. I suppose it would be fair for me to state that you Jay Dee and your “people” should pay for the past indiscretion of your ancestors killing thousands of Native American Indians-right? Would that be fair to state? I mean, if we base it on your illogical and unrealistic reasoning, that is what we should do. Did “your people” pay the Native American Indians for the land you stole from them and are currently living on and making a living from? No!
I suppose it is the whole double standard thing though right? It was not okay for whites or those whom appear white to receive preferential treatment for education or employment, but it is okay to give preferential treatment to those who are less qualified for a college acceptance or a job because they “happen” to be black, Hispanic, Asian, etc. simply by ascribed means?
Do you not A) See the double Standard and B) Not understand that affirmative action is NOT what MLK fought for? He fought for equality, NOT preferential treatment. Like Bill Cosby said, he DID NOT fight so that we can tell our young brothers and sisters that it is okay to have “okay” grades or to be “somewhat” qualified for a position, because you know, you will get the education or the job simply because of your race. Right…..tell me you honestly do not hear how double standard and stupid that sounds?!?!
Affirmative action has not helped minorities to succeed, but rather tells them that if they are subpar then they can get by in this life. In the process, affirmative action as pissed off all others whom are qualified but could not get into a specific college or gain employment with a specific company because “quotas” had to be fulfilled.
I do not care what race you are, but I’ll be damned if I want a doctor/surgeon operating on me who was kind of qualified for medical school but got in based on his/her race, or a police officer or firefighter helping/protecting me simply because of his/her race even though they haven’t a damn clue what they are doing.
Society owes you nothing-neither I nor my children owe you anything and I most definitely do not owe you or any minority alive today for the past indiscretions of others. You were not subjected to slavery, your parents were not, your grand parents were not and I am pretty sure your great grandparents were not if anyone in your family ever was-therefore why is it that you along with millions of others feel they are entitled to anything?!?!?! What on earth is so hard for actually WORKING for and EARNING whatever it is that you want/need?

I would love to see a healthy debate and dare the MSM to, instead of talking about white hate groups only, how about we talk about ALL hate groups. Granted, there are many more white hate groups that others, but please do not purposely dismiss the black, Hispanic and Islamic hate groups merely to push your own political agenda.
It has been spread all over the MSM the awful killing at the Holocaust museum by an obviously deranged moron, but where in the hell was the same coverage for the WHITE SOLDIER who was killed by a Black Muslim terrorist?
What about his HATE GROUP? What, we refuse to report on this because he is black and a terrorist-the two things that the far left refuse to talk about because it does not further their corrupted political agenda?
For the record, I am an independent who voted Republican in the last election because at least John McCain has experience and is not oblivious to how the country and the world operates. All Obama is doing is proving Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, John Edwards and everyone else who said he was unqualified for the position, right. In the process, he is destroying this country and making the US look worse than we ever did before.
This sounds too much like the learn to hate class called Racism and Sexism I was forced to take in college. Unfortunately, intellectual dishonesty is rampant in the universities. There is no monopoly on hate and it most certainly should not be defined as racism is a white against people of color concept. Please don’t waste my time saying ti sin’t so and I don’t understand. I do. I was forced to pay to learn about it in a class that clearly taught that this country is terrible and that white people are to blame for everything. You can read this drivel by Author’s Bell Hooks and Rothenberg… if you wish to rot your brains. Oh, the bibliography of most works and papers in the Rothenberg book is a cross reference of every write she put in the book. Intellectualism indeed!
I agree completely in the double standard. What about those Army recruiters? Someone told me about that incident. I never heard it on the news as I did the other stories. I had to go search it out.
This is a dangerous chess game of racism and it will one day have a very bad ending. The most unfortunate part is that the most innocent will bear the brunt of the ill will.
Why do people like jay dee assume color and racialize everything? What difference it is what race, ethnicity or religion the author of this blog is? Why is it so terrible to criticise the present government? Apparently there are emotions invested and insecurity on the line.
Get with the program please everyone. At the end of the day almost every one of us all want the same things. We are not all so different. We just have differing opinions as to how to get there.
I truly enjoy this blog. If I wanted the Mostly Socialist Neo Bama Channel I would just watch that.
