Democrats: Fellow Citizens, Just Shut Up!
They must be Republican Health Care Townhall Protesters!!!
You know, the most ludicrous part of the liberal attack on people fighting against the current health care reform? That they are too loud in voicing their opinions. Mob Rule!!!
Democrats don’t complain when liberal protesters through speakers off the stage. They con’t complain when conservatives are attacked on stage. Moveon, Code Pink, ACORN, or unions use actual threats of violence, and that is fine. It is ok when Code Pink disrupts a hearing in Congress. It is o.k. when ACORN violently stops foreclosure auctions. But a bunch of citizens, coming to talk to their representatives…that is over the line. And remember…many are senior citizens. Yes, Grandma, you are the new threat to the American government.
And now, when our public is angry, and want answers from our duly appointed representatives, we are the bad guys.
Have Democrats jumped the shark?
Nancy Pelosi accused the protesters of carrying swastikas. Really: “They’re carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare.”. Oh boy. Sen. Barbara Boxer stated that she knows these uprisings are artificial because the protesters are too well dressed. Well, excuse me for actually owning a shirt and tie.
The Democrat Party has an ad out, in which you would think people are carry around guns, Malatov cocktails, and pitchforks. Hello? Maybe they don’t trust you because you block transparency, lack ethical standards, and heck, don’t even know what is in the bill you are advocating? No, that couldn’t be it.
Heck, those on the right are just following the lead of our President: he wanted a country of community organizers, remember? A community organizer should not complain when communities organize against him. He got his wish. Here is our President last fall; take his words to heart:
“I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face!”

Let’s be honest. When people are scared of the public dissent…that is when you know you are succeeding. When a political parting is trying to shut up a group of people asking questions about government policy, that is when you know that they believe you are becoming a threat to their legilative goals. Whenever government leaders want to squash voices in the street, whether it be Topeka or Tehran, you know that the government has something to hide. Democrats, are you really that afraid of the debate? Do you lack faith in your own policies that much?
Keep on fighting. Keep on challenging your representatives. Keep phoning, emailing, and talking to everyone you possibly can. Remember: The Democrats doth protest too much. We are winning the argument. We must fight for real, effective health care reform, not this joke of a bill that the House Democrats are pushing.
And don’t let anyone, anyone at all, stop you. It is your right: use it.
UPDATE: In one of his few brilliant moves, GOP Chairman Michael Steele pulled a fast one on Democrats. At the end of the Democrats ad, it asks people to call the RNC. Well, Steele did them one better…he routed the calls back to the Democratic National Committee.
“We are encouraging people to visit their congressman or their senator,” he said. “As citizens they have a right to express their points of view.”
Steele, sounding angry, then said, “don’t sit there and think that you’re going to direct a bunch of angry liberals to call the RNC when I know full well what that’s all about.” He added that he gets “the joke.”
Steele went on to complain about the “arrogance” of an Obama administration that he said was looking down its nose at his mother, sister, family members and coworkers.
“To sit back and say that this is some Republican cabal is a bunch of baloney,” he said. “And you can substitute that B for something else if you want.”
Steele added that callers should “talk to your own party because they’re the ones that are ginning this nonsense up.”
He concluded his comments by saying, “and besides, I thought it was a good idea.”
Thanks for these words. I’m going to write to the President, as I’m sure many have done already, and throw his words right back in his face. I didn’t work 32 years just to have the rug pulled out from under me. He can kiss my southern fried butt.
I reflect on the statements of those citizens that berated those of us that were trying to warn them what was about to happen to them and this country if they voted Obama into the office of the Presidency of the United States and I just smile. I’m sure many of those know-it-alls are starting to get a bad feeling especially if they are the “producers” and tax payers and not the “takers”. Those of us over a certain age knew what was going to happen because we had lived through Jimmy Carter and we actually LISTENED to what he said on the campaign trail and didn’t chalk it up to campaign rhetoric. We actually EVALUATED what type of individual he was and his philosophy by the company he kept and what he listened to for over twenty years. A lot of us already knew he was a liberal elitist but many voters purposely overlooked it because… he was black and wouldn’t it be great if we had a cool, young, black President and we could move beyond that barrier?” I hope they’re not clinging to a state of denial to justify their own naive notions that he would be different than what they felt deep down in their gut they knew he was but chose to ignore it. If you are thinking you made a big mistake and will most likely re-evaluate your judgement of what you expected then good for you. If you cling to a fantasy world outlook of what “could be” or what Obama really is then you’re a fool and you deserve whatever comes your way.

I have sent my phone number and address to the Whitehouse My Senators Levin and Dear Debbie. I didn’t want my neighbor to have to do it he is to busy making his sign at the Union Hall
Stabenow is so lost on the issue, it is pretty pathetic. Levin at least knows what is going on…but he is so ultraliberal it doesn’t matter.
The ironic thing about the White House, the Speaker of the House, and the entrenched liberals like Boxer, Frank, and other spokepersons is that they will more than likely be re-elected by the fools in their districts because the voting blocks on which they rely are the “takers” and not the ones carrying the burdens of paying for all this crap. They are, however, managing to destroy the political careers of more moderate politicians in their own party and moderate republicans than have been very eager to slide across the aisle to help them om a plethora of issues who are still in districts or states not yet outnumbered by voters that vote for them to keep working and paying while they claim victim status and suck on the teat of hard working Americans who have managed to replace charity with beaurocratic government programs.
Being one of those common thugs is fine with me; My question would be, Where are my Neighbors? What makes us Americans, I have thought this through, have you? What makes us special, some say that it is because we are Free; I will not argue that with anyone but that Is Not What Makes Us Americans. No, what makes us Americans is that we accept that obligation to protect those rights of LIFE, LIBERT and the PURSUIT of HAPPINESS, that the creator endowed us with, and to hand those principle rights to those generations that follow in tact. Now for all those that refuse to be an AMERICAN, Please sit down and shut up, maybe even catch a boat or plane and leave this great counrty if you can not celebrate that which you have been given. Those that have accepted this obligation will fight to cherish and honor it in every action we take and thought we have, do not even begin to say that we are being disrespectful to them in our actions; IT is that Representative of our Government that is being disrespectful when he stands in front of us and spews forth bold face lies and they deserve to be far worse than shouted down. They will get what they deserve when we next go to the polls and we are putting them on notice to this reality. We are tired of their game of politics and we will not allow them to play it any longer. Japan woke a sleeping giant and this is beginning to wake the American worker and Citizen.
I really had thought that I had seen it all. I’ve been around the world with the military, walking mostly (should never have been a ground pounder), and I have carried an old M-16A1 for many years through many places that would qualify as the arm pit of the world. In any event, if someone had of suggested for one moment that the country that I served so proudly would in the very near future appoint a president who was comfortable with communism to the point where he would appoint self professed communist as czars, I would have definately had that person checked for drug use. And if that is not bad enough (and it is pretty bad) this same president would attack people attempting to excercise their free speech and tell them to “shut up” that is beyond belief. Now I have nothing against Barrack Obama personally, but his politics leave a lot to be desired. I kind of feel like an idiot for being disarmed by this man’s speeches during the election to the point that I ignored the Glen Becks and other voices of the right who warned of bad days ahead. I did not vote for Obama, but I did not wish him ill either. Rather I hoped that he would ‘heal’ this nation, and that he would help to erase the centuries of prejudice and politics as usual that had become the normal way of doing business in Washington. But I sure never expected the genie that we have let out of the bottle now. The question is have we woken up soon enough to stuff him (and his gang of thugs) back in???
