John Murtha R.I.P.
A former Vietnam veteran and longtime Democrat Congressman John Murtha died this morning from complications from gallbladder surgery. He was 77.
Murtha was a strong defender of the military, while at the same time always under the scrutiny of the Feds, as he was suspected to be one of the more corrupt politicians in Washington, although that was never proven. I believe he sullied his reputation by attacking the Marines involved in the Haditha Iraq incident before trial…they were later proclaimed not guilty. But far be it from me not to honor a man who served valiantly in the military, once upon a time.
